Foot strength and flexibility full class. This class will strengthen all of the muscles in your feet and ankles, as well as helping you improve your foot and ankle flexibility. This class is great if you want better ballet feet, if you are training for pointe work, pre-pointe, or are a beginner to intermediate pointe student. This foot and ankle strength class is also great for anyone who wants to improve their foot and ankle strength, mobility and flexibility, including dancers, gymnasts, rhythmic gymnasts, circus performers, and performing artists.
Please note, this is not a beginner class. This class is designed for students who have been working and training their feet muscles for awhile and are looking to progress. You should have a good understanding of how to work your feet and ankles properly. Please make sure you fully understand proper alignment of the feet and ankles, particularly how to point without sickling or winging and pointing your toes without crunching or curling them.
You will ideally need an exercise band, small ball, such as a tennis ball, and a pilates block or ball. If you don’t any of these, don’t worry, the class will still be great! If you don’t have any exercise bands, I would highly recommend you get some. There are so many ways they can be used to help you improve your strength and technique!
